Legal & Compliance Manager

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Provide legal assistance to the senior management and all business departments
• Develop, propose, and implement solutions regarding legal cases related to the company’s activities
• Manage the legal representation of the company;
• Prepare contracts and perform legal control over the execution of already signed agreements;
• Coordinates all contracts signed with third parties regarding conformity with the law and potential law risks.
• Take part in the development of projects related to enactment;
• Perform verification of individual administrative acts assigned for reconciliation regarding compliance with the law.
• Give a legal opinion on procedures for acquiring licenses, certificates, and permissions.
• Consult the management and HR department on labor and employment law issues;
• Provide legal support to other departments, legal entities, and employees
• Perform the necessary actions for the submission and receipt of documents issued by state and public authorities and organizations, institutions, and courts
• Organize the protection of companies’ interests in case of non-performance of contracts
• Ensure that all contracts with employees are compliant with the current legislation and labor law
• Coordinate activities with external legal offices and partners

Requirements/Qualifications:

• At least 10+ years of proven work experience in relevant internal law roles in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment;
• Successful history of managing a legal department;
• Experience in leading commercial law
• Excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills
• Strong organizational and creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Knowledge of Western European Commercial Law and/or UK Law

Educational background:

• University degree in Law

Language & IT:

• Mandatory: Fluent in Bulgarian and English
• Good skills in MS Office tools
